After BMW revived the 6 Series in 2003, it kept the model in production until 2010. The one we have now launched the following year, which – given the same-length lifecycle – would make it due for replacement next year.

From what we can see from these latest spy shots, it appears that the Bavarian automaker is hard at work on getting it ready. We just don't know what it'll be called yet.
